Synopsis


HONEY TRAP is a tragic teen romance, set in South London and inspired by true events. It tells the story of 15-year-old Layla, who sets up the boy in love with her to be killed. 
Fresh off the boat from Trinidad and full of fairy tale fantasies, Layla is swept off her feet by self-styled gang leader/rapper Troy. But in this dog-eat-dog world where being Troy's girl buys her envy as well as status, social outsider Shaun becomes her only true friend.
When Troy discards her, Layla is left in ruins. She vows to rebuild herself as a hardened player in order to win him back and Shaun becomes a pawn in her game. Soon the forces she has set in motion are escalating out of control.

This film is a low budget film but the budget was £8,560.

Jessica Sula who played Layla 
 replacing Samantha Joseph 















 Lucien Laviscount who is taking on the role of the terrifying 'Troy' instead of real-life jealous boyfriend McLean.












Ntonga Mwanza is taken on Shakilus Townsend's fictional character 'Shaun' 














Naomi Ryan takes on Shiree which is Layla's mother who she lives with but also the one who sent her to live in Trinidad for 10 years.

Target Audience

The target audience urban young people (15-25), both sexes, who relate to story and cast. The audience was younger people as the film was targeted at them and the story line was trrying to show them the concequences and give them a life lesson through film related ideas.
